Nelo Summer Challenge
27th and 28th August will see the spectacular Nelo Summer challenge two events a 10km downwind sprint and a 800m sprint series.
In both these events I expect the UK contingent to fare well. The events will have live coverage over the weekend. Last years event was streamed live and I believe the same will be happening this year. While im warming up for the South africa vs Australia rugby, ill be watching the event.
2009 saw Jenna Hawkey winning the ladies event.
In the final of the men's we had 4 UK paddlers represented including Tim Brabants. 2009 results

Race the Light 2010
The culmination of our local Surfski Time Trials is the Race the Light Series. The event gives any paddler the opportunity to record their best time over the 4 Friday evenings in September.
The route is the 8.4km route to Poole harbour mouth and back to Branksome Chine Beach. The paddles start at 18:30 sharp with T-shirt presentation to be held each Friday evening at the Porterhouse in Westbourne
Event entry is £5 in order to recieev your T-shirt - you can enter as many of the series races as you like in order to post your best time.
The course record stands at 38:20 and is held by Peter Molner - Im hoping ill be able to issue a Sub 38 this year.
The current break points for the event are Sub 50, 45, 42, 40
