The 3rd of March 2012 will be a momentous occasion on the South Coast. Branksome Chine will host a Surfski showcase event and the launch of the first UK production LD Surfski. About time I hear you say.

Mark Ressell and his new ski, The Genesis, will be presented to the local paddling community.

I am anticipating some glorious weather, so hopefully you will be able to try the ski out. Quotes have been raining in from top paddlers.

"Had a paddle in flat water in the Bristol docks a while ago a lovely looking ski. Went very well fast and stable."

This is an opportunity to stand around and Talk-Ski. The paddling season is almost upon us, if you new to it, and would like to find out more please come along. Im hoping to get some of the Epic V8s on demo which is an entry level ski, but all the trimmings of an Epic class boat.

Club Skis's, Lawler Ergo Machine for some coaching if you like or just come along and enjoy the coffee and cakes.

Cakes will be on offer some donated by club members and some from a local patisserie B and J Patisserie- so don't be shy about turning up and just stuffing your face.

Genesis is great name for the ski, lets hope it lives up to the rest of the story.

Race the Light 2011

Well, after a hectic first 2 weekends without a Race the Light opportunity, we now only have 3 Fridays left in September in which to post your best time. September 16th, 23rd an 30th.

Usual rules apply,

£5 to get the t-shirt.

Every Friday evening start time 6:30- same course Branksome to Poole Harbour and back.

Sunset is 19:29 this week.  Check the Forecast

If you cannot make the  6:30, you can start when you arrive and the time keeper will check your start time.

Beers afterwards at The Porterhouse Westbourne.
